The Black Stars of Ghana exhibited super performance resulting in massive win against Congo. They drew at Kumasi in their first leg but Red Devils carried a busket of five balls during their second leg clash at Brazzaville.
It was believe that Red Devils played with The Black Stars' second team. The likes of Asamoah Gyan, Dede and Jordan Ayew including most of the top players weren't in action.
Below are some reasons why Black Stars of Ghana "destroyed" the Red Devils of Congo.
1. Richard Ofori (goalkeeper) was right on point at any point in time. He did a great job as expected. Saved most balls from all angles with the exception of a super strike from the Ukraine based player.
2. Thomas Partey did an incredible job by playing the midfield and attacking as well. The in form Atletico Madrid midfielder was a threat to the Red Devils from start to finish. He bagged a sensational hat trick before was substituted. Mr Partey was the Man of The Match.
3. Christian Atsu and Agyapong did great serves.
Atsu has been Ghana's key player for the past years till now. The Congolese left side weren't able to handle his style of play and assisted in three gaols.
4. Ghana's central defense were very calm and knows what to do at anytime. The likes of Afful Harrison who was the captain of the day, Jonathan Mensah and Daniel Amartey knows what to do anytime they handle ball. Effective communication was also a factor.
5. Afriyie Acquah tactically and mentally strong in the midfield.
Ebenezer Ofori was very supportive.
6. Players eager to win and if not Ghanaians wouldn't be happy with the score line.
7. Thumbs up to Akwesi Appiah, the head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana for the bold step. He used most players their opponent weren't expecting.
